Notes

I still like the first one a lot. This time going for 20 motifs around because it stretches.

I’m going to need 140 flowers around the body +14 for the first row after, then 10 for the back and 4 more over the shoulders = 168. Also 8 half flowers.

Errata: The half flowers have 4 loops of 6 ch.

The pattern says to break yarn on round two after each one. I know I didn’t do that on the first, rather kept going along the bottom, grabbing the next flower from the pile.

Flowers: Chain 4, make into ring, (chain 6, attach) 8 times, break yarn. Repeat.

Second row: (attach, chain 5) 4 times, chain 5, attach to next flower 4 times.

Filler flowers: Chain 4, make into ring, (chain 3, attach to ring, chain 1, attach to 5-chain, chain 1, attach to ring) 4 times.

Note: It says to attach with a slip stitch. I prefer single crochet (US).

My rule for picking up the next flower: Have all the finished flowers in an opaque bag. Pull out a random one and use it unless it matches the previous flower or the yarn I’m currently using to connect them.
