This is my fourth of these blankets - I’ve made them for friends and family. I love the soft brightness of the yarn - it is brighter than the pictures of the finished blanket.

Changes to the pattern:

This blanket is longer than the pattern - 35 repeats of the pattern instead of 33.

The panels alternate yarn: Encore Chunky/Encore DK/Encore Chunky

The pattern also called for fringe, which I do not like. For the border, I worked DK yarn as follows:
* one row of dc all the way around with 3 dc in each corner and then
a second row of fpdc/bpdc with 3 fpdc at each corner.

I like that this yarn is wool blend for easier washing.
