It’s done and blocking and IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S SUPPOSED TO! I’m always so happy when I hit the blocking stage and there are no horrible mistakes or dropped stitches.

More pictures to follow once I get it unpinned.

General notes:

• I used markers between each repeat and before the last two stitches on RS
• 12 repeats appears to have made a fairly large curl and should be a very versatile shawl
• I used a string to block out the straight edge and then pinned each point, I think it would look really nice in a more scalloped shape but I would have needed more pins and I couldn’t find my other bag of pins (I’m very organised me)

I finished knitting last night. going to weave in ends and block tonight. I think I ended up with 12 repeats.
the yarn was lovely to work with and feels really lush. Can’t wait to see how this blocks out.

I’m 9 repeats in and early finished with my first skein. It took about 10 tries to get this started properly and now I’m really happy and confident as I knit. I know there’s at least one row that may be wonky in it but I think blocking will salvage it.
