Highly recommend this as an entry level sweater for a knitter who wants a bit of patterning for the yoke, but not quite ready to brave shaping. Brioche is not as scary as it looks and you get into a nice rhythm with it.

42” bust = 6” positive ease because I have no idea what my measurements are anymore. Also because gauge is highly variable.

My gauge swatch had me at 24 stitches and 42 rows for 4” but it turns out swatches can lie. Especially when stress levels range from overwhelmed to wtf to #2020.

My usage of the contrast color appears to be high compared to the other testers. No idea why/how I managed that.

Yoke is 11” because I cannot use a measuring tape.
Main body armpit to ribbing is just over 14”
Sleeve length is 18” to ribbing
Ribbing for both body and sleeves is 1.5”

The extra fabric in the armpit area is the fun combination that comes from greater than called for ease and longer than called for yoke. The sweater fits as intended if you actually follow the recommended fit for yoke and body.

The arms are to pattern length but come down to just above my knuckles because 1: my yoke is longer than the pattern was designed for and 2: I prefer super long sleeves for long sleeved shirts/sweaters. If this hadn’t been a test knit I absolutely would have made thumb holes.
