My third, and favourite, hat made from the book Toasty, Volume 2.

Again, due to my different yarn, gauge, and desired fit I started with 160 stitches, which resulted in just the fit I was aiming for.

This is a fun project from beginning to end with just enough stitch variety to keep it interesting but not overly complicated. The crown decreases are particularly unique and creative.

This is perfect for stashbusting, and in fact you’ll see bits from the first two hats I made from the book in this hat. I mixed yarn bases as well, although the hat is primarily 4 ply merino wool, (all yarns were of similar fingering weight.
