Notes

This is my 2nd Hitofude with my favorite color blue

06-27-2017

I am doing this exactly like my first hitofude , according to my note , i should so far follow the pattern to T , which means 12 repeats of this chart A lace before shaping .

07-11-2017

Phew finally done with the 12 repeats of chart A , i found the last 3 repeats was the slowest ever .. Yesterday morning i bound off the sleeves . I think i should put a note on this .

So when you’re ready to bind off the first sleeve , follow the picture in the pattern , RS folded together , and i used 1 size larger needle to do the 3 needle bind off . My first hitofude used the same size to bind off and it fits just fine too .

Line up the needles with 48 stitches together , i found it helpful when you put marker on the main needle so you know where to stop and to know that you do have the same amount of number stitches on both needles . Then do the 3 needle bind off .

By the time you bind off all stitches , in my case it was 47 stitches bind off with 48 stitches on the needles , you will have 1 stitch left on the right hand needle , place marker then knit all the way to end ( yes knit the stitches on the main needle , my main needle has a lot of markers to mark every repeat of the lace , it helps !! )

On to the second sleeve , follow the pattern , and now do the same thing with the first sleeve , 48 stitches on both needles , again place marker , so it’ll be easier to keep track when to stop and also to know they have same number of stitches . Bind off 47 stitches , then you will have 1 stitch left on the right hand needle , This time , SLIP that one stitch to the main needle ( mine is the one with lots of markers ) , PM , then knit the rest of stitches on the spare needle . By the time you start knitting the stitches on spare needle , you’ll see that you’re starting the knitting in the round .

Now both of your sleeves are formed and ready for shoulder and waist .

07-13-2017

Ribbing for shoulder and waist is done , i believe i did more than just 8 rounds , maybe 10-12 rounds .

Set up for lower body is also completed .
Set up row for work back and forth is completed , now to begin pattern back and forth , starting with 3 repeats of chart A .

After this .. i will need to decide whether i follow exactly like my first hitofude , or trying out the summer version , if i do the summer version , i will need to follow the summer chart , with front and back are the exact same .

B front and back
C front and back
and so on ..

while working on 3 repeats on A , i’ll try to decide which one i want to go

07-14-2017

I think i will do chart A for lower body 4 times instead of 3

07-16-2017

Finished the first part of lower body . I did 4 repeats of chart A .

On to the chart B , except i am doing the summer hitofude version , the same for back and front , chart B . Increase only the first row , i think i will do 2 repeats on chart B .

07-18-2017

On the third skein , i finished 1st repeat of chart B , i did increase the first row of chart B , ( summer version ) . In the chart she has , it has yo and light grey k2tog / ssk . So first row , ignore the increase and just do the yo’s .

And on the second repeat of chart B , i did the decrease and increase at the same time , to keep the stitches to be 14 counts .

I believe after this i will be doing chart C , which will be row 1 and there will be no decrease , only increases .

07-20-2017

Row 1 chart C with increase , no decrease .
Finished chart C , only 1 repeat , will go on Chart D .

07-22-2017

Finished chart D.
Tried it on, the width is pretty good already.
I will do chart E only once to finish this.
And I think we’re good after 16 rows!!

07-23-2017

Last 2 rows of chart E.
So I decided to try it on, this’ll be perfect. Perfect width and length. I will finish last 2 rows then just little ribbing. Or else it’ll be too long!

07-24-2017

To make it easier .. here’s my repeat for lower body

A- 4X
B- 2X
C, D , E - each 1 x
With just this , it’s perfect length for me . but if you’re taller than 5”4” you might want to add another repeat
