Join in the round and decrease needle size to create desired shaping. Put the 40 sleeve stitches on hold and finish the body of the sweater first.

Knit til top to bottom length measures at least 12 inches (width is 22 inches). Finish body with k2p2.

All edges finished with k2p2 ribbing. Castoff with Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off.

Neckline:
Using 5mm crochet hook do a complete row then end. Using the same crochet hook start again this time in the lowest part of the v if the neck, single crocheting around to the other end and back again until enough collar has been created. The v area will be buttoned later.

Sleeves: we want 8 inches. Work knitting in the round, picking up adequate stitches in the armpit and then on the 9th row decrease one on the armpit seam. Continue knitting. Starting on the 9th row from the armpit start, decrease one on each 4th row.
