Notes

Will swatch with nightshades first and BT shelter 2nd.

Going with 4mm needles. Gauge blocked is 18.5 sts & 24 rows (I hope - was difficult to count rows with dark yarn).

I am so close to being finished - but Christmas crazies hit!

Can’t wait to wear this cardigan and I can see this becoming a word robe staple. So wearable and great style and texture!

And I’m done. I am totally enthralled by this design. So innovative! When you bind off, you’re done. So not buttonband pickup, just a few ended to weave in. The combination of textured pattern and ribbing is fantastic!

Can’t wait till it’s dry after blocking.clap::skin-tone-3

Pairing with the Harrisville design nightshades was a perfect match. I’d recommend BT shelter (if you can get gauge) or some other wooden spun - a light lofty yarn.

I used 491 grams of yarn yarn for this project.

I’m giving this a medium difficulty rating as I had some difficulty wrapping my head around picking up stitches from collar (But another tester posted pics which helped and the lightbulb went on). My other challenge was following the textured pattern (initially) due to very dark yarn choice.

The tubular bind off gave me some grief but the finished result was so very worth it.

Thank you Anke for having me as a test knitter and putting your trust in me.heart
