Ideas for “old lady” designs:
-add a ruffle to the waist edge
-add a crocheted picot edge instead of a single crochet
-add a crocheted flower on the back (tramp stamp area)
-add bobbles in the shape of an “S” for Mr S!
-maaaybe even a “handknit with love” tag?

I’m avoiding lace for, ahem, containment issues. I want to consider tassels, but I think that might be too much.

I am so excited.

Also, I’m making this a medium (32” waist) by making the back strap 4.5” and the waist band 160 sts total. I will probably never know if it fits him or not, though.

Annnnd he loved it. And I loved making it.
