I was having trouble finding a pattern for slippers that would be large enough to fit my husband’s size 13 extra wide feet. So I just started with a basic sole and built on it, frogging and re-doing until I got something that worked. I might write out and share the pattern at some point.

I made the soles out of a layer of fabric with patterned PVC on one side (available at any large fabric store), two layers of craft foam, and then a layer of fabric so that the actual crocheted slipper isn’t attached to just foam. I used Shoe Goo to hold everything together. I wrote a tutorial, which is available here.
