April 17/12: cast on. gauge was 14 st/4 inches instead of 12, so I will knit a few sizes up to get the size I need. I am wanting this to fit loosely.

May 12/12: gauge actually shaping up to be 13 st/ 4”, so only going up one size. Added extra hip shaping, though ( I got big ones!). Seed stitch is slooooooow!

May 31/12: picking it up here and there when I get a minute, now on to first sleeve.

June 28/12: Dang, this thing will take me forever. Shoot me if I ever mention doing another sweater in seed stitch. Finished first sleave now, picked up 13 st instead of 11 and then did 2 sets of decreases to get back down to 43. Decided to knit ribbed button bands before second sleeve to get a break from seed stitch. Ribbing goes so much faster! Only picked up 78 st for button bands. Did buttonhole technique as Lulubach used for her Sister Sedum. At least the end is in sight!

August 2012: finished this up while away on holidays at the cabin. So soft and cozy! Haven’t blocked it yet, went straight to wearing it on chilly nights around the campfire. It is a bit big for me, Especially in the sleeves, but I don’t mind as it is meant to be a cozy casual sweater. Have been getting lots of use out of it already. Wooden buttons from Fabricland, sewn on with yellow Perle cotton thread for a bit of colour. Love it! But verrrrrry sick of seed stitch!
