Knitting: Scarf
Bunting Scarf is a bit of whimsy, a scarf knit in garter stitch from one end to the other, increasing and decreasing as you go to form gentle scallops. Choose from a shorter, narrower style that ties once at the neck, or a longer, deeper version to bundle up.

Eldred is a simple scarf of 2-row stripes that also alternate garter and stockinette stitch from side to side, bordered by slipped stitches and garter bands. The stitch pattern and colors reverse position halfway through, and both colors are used equally. The garter and stockinette stripes create a bit of an optical illusion.

Designed for The Yarnery, Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop 2022.

Coen is a simple but striking neckwarmer, and it’s all about juxtapositions: light & dark, soft (yarn) & hard (angles). Coen is knit flat, using both colors in each row. The piece is grafted to form a tube.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Celebrate a win—any kind of win—by knitting a hat (which is an achievement in itself!). One interesting and easy-to-learn stitch creates ridges from brim to crown.

INGO is a neck warmer long enough to pull up around your ears during cold Minnesota winters. Or fold it over, turtleneck style. Front and back “bibs” keep INGO in place under your coat, and keeps the drafts out. All were requirements of my partner, Mark, who asked for this design. His other requirement? A yarn soft enough to wear next to his sk...
Knitting: Scarf
Rapson is a relatively simple knit, and it’s all about straight lines: blocks of color and columns of garter and stockinette stitch, with five accent colors on a neutral background. The scarf’s generous width makes it easy to bundle up, and Lore’s DK-weight 100% Kent lambswool keeps you warm without extra bulk (those Brits know how to ward off ...

This neckwarmer was inspired by walking around the dog park with my dog’s leash looped around my neck while he runs around. Rowan (that’s my dog’s name—yes, he was named after the famed British yarn; I’m a big nerd) is an Italian Greyhound mix. Technically he’s probably small enough that I could attach this cowl’s I-cord to his collar. Problem ...
Knitting: Cowl
I designed this cowl simply to satisfy my own curiosity about alternating short row wedges. I don’t know why I love short rows so much, but I do; they’re satisfying and fun to knit. A note of caution: while you’re knitting North Loop you’ll wonder how on earth the lumpy pile of knitting in your lap will result in the flat, smooth cowl you see p...

Analog Cabin was designed for The Yarnery, St. Paul, MN as part of MN Yarn Shop Hop 2019.
Knitting: Potholder
Easy can be smart-looking! A potholder developed for the cooking + knitting collaboration between The Yarnery and Cooks of Crocus Hill, St. Paul, MN.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Designed simply to show off a favorite new yarn: Rowan’s Alpaca Classic. A Little Light Fantastic is a folly, really, a big, colorful scarf to keep you warm and make you smile in the cold of winter. Knit as a tube, its double layer is insanely warm and surprisingly light. Each stripe uses most of a 50 g skein of Alpaca Classic: 16 colors, 17 sk...
Knitting: Scarf
This oversized scarf has beautiful drape and stitch definition, thanks to the 12 ply construction of Tov DK. Designed as a modern study of Aran textures, its clean detailing and proportions make this a handsome unisex accessory.
