Ashbourne Alpaca Yarns, are contemporary knitting yarns made from beautiful alpaca fleeces. These yarns have been created by the alpaca stud, Ashbourne Alpacas. We are one of the largest alpaca studs in the Macedon ranges, breeding quality white and coloured huacayas.

Ashbourne Alpaca Yarn is committed to producing knitting yarns that are 100% Australian grown & produced. Many of our yarns can be individually traced back to the animal that grew the fleece which went into the production of that yarn. We have sourced local Australian producers to help us create these wonderful yarns so that we can supply a truly local product. We use fleeces from our own alpaca herd or from producers we know, to ensure the quality of the raw material that we use.
