Built-by-Karen has been knitting and exploring fiber arts since her teenage years. Her journey began with a simple goal—recreating a scarf she once saw in a movie. That first project sparked a lifelong love of knitting, leading her to experiment with stitches, textures, and design.

When she’s not working with yarn, Karen is out embracing the great outdoors. She’s an avid hiker, backpacker, and rock climber who finds endless inspiration in nature. She’s also a devoted animal lover and enjoys creating cozy, handmade pieces for both people and pets.
