Hello!

I’m Marya, a mom of two teenage boys (who I still knit for occasionally) from Vancouver, Canada who enjoys designing patterns for garments with a classic yet contemporary look.

My mom taught me to knit when I was 12 and it’s been a cherished love and companion through all of the ‘eras’ of my life. The name ‘Cleome Smith’ is a mash-up of family names and makes my mom’s initials, a tribute to my knitting heritage.

All of my “Basic” patterns include instructions for 4 different yarn weights to make it easier for you to consider yarn you may already have lovingly tucked away in your stash.
