I’ve been designing some of my own knitwear for years now but have never published any prior to 2014, usually due to a lack of thorough notes on my part. My first published design (and currently the only design I have published) was mainly because I had several of my friends request the pattern so they could knit it as well. And for once I had written down notes that were good enough for me to write a pattern that others besides myself could understand.
