I like to work with natural fibres and nature’s dyes, they are my inspiration. I can’t help to consider the origin of materials and their connection to our planet Earth which inspires me to create. I like to work with rustic, simple processes with rich colours and textures. After decades of experience with textiles, I am now growing a food forest, regenerating a small patch of rainforest and of course spinning, knitting, stitching.
From my observation of the world there seems to be a strong connection between the garden, nature, the wild and artists. Maybe those who create “perceive” life deeply.
