Hi! I’m Jana - the person behind Kettu Knits.
I’ve been in love with knitting for more than 25 years.
I live in a house in quite Finnish forest, where I knit, dye my own yarn (Kettu Yarns) and occasionally create knitting patterns. I live here with my hubby, 2 kids (Bru & Fifi), 2 dogs (Big Bear & Jacky-the-rescue-dog) and a bucket of fishes.
Our daughter Sofia is my main inspiration and the biggest reason to get up and create. Shortly after birth she was diagnosed with a rare chromosome disorder and ever since we’ve been on a very challenging (but also rewarding) journey to get Sofia on her feet.
Every time you choose my pattern or pick up a skein of Kettu Yarns, you’re helping our daughter to reach her rehabilitation goals. And we are very grateful for it!
