Johnny Vasquez is a knitwear designer and founder of Yarnist Media.

Since 2011 millions of knitters around the world have used his video tutorials on New Stitch a Day. He has a talent for taking complex ideas within knitting, and making them simple to understand. His clear teaching style has been praised by many of the 10,000+ students that have taken his online classes.

In October 2022 Johnny launched The Yarnist, a daily email magazine for fearless knitters.

When he’s not knitting you’ll find Johnny playing a board game with the guys, sipping on bourbon at a speakeasy bar, or attending an indie film festival.

Originally from West Covina, CA, he currently lives in Tallinn, Estonia with his wife and five kids.
