Julia Murtha

I’m a wife of a yarn-tolerant husband and mother of 1 teen daughter living in Albuquerque, NM. I tend to be more of a solitary knitter/crocheter, but recently started joing a group of ladies at the monthly meeting of a local Project linus chapter. I knit/crochet to relax, to make gifts for friends and/or coworkers, for my family, and for ME.

In my own estimation I’m still what I would call an “intermediate” knitter. My designs generally come from me not finding a pattern that’s “just what I want”. So I often modify other patterns and techniques, and in the end find something that truly represents what I want to make. Sometimes they even spring whole out of my own brain, and that’s the most fun.
