Hello, my name is Lisa and I have a deep love for nature and all creatures.
One of my favorite ways to express that love, is to combine it with my fondness for fiber crafting. I often draw inspiration from the great outdoors and all four seasons when creating my designs.
Sometimes my designs come as a matter of necessity and that’s okay. I live in the New York where the climate is much cooler than other parts of the country, so those warm and cozy items are pretty much a requirement!

My greatest loves in this life are my four amazing children. It is because of my love for my family and my strong desire to craft warm and stylish things for them, that I began this journey several years ago. Creating items of comfort and necessity didn’t have to mean sacrificing style.

Since then, I created Schoonmaker Designs. My focus is to create soft, warm, and fashionable items for women, babies, children, and items for the home. Needing an item to be warm and serve a purpose is a given but having that item fit in with either your wardrobe or your home decor is a big bonus.
No one, not one man, woman, child, or sweet baby, should ever sacrifice looks for comfort.
It is always my goal to do the best I can to join the two.

Recently I’ve added a line of items that I will continue to add to, these items are aimed for babies to small children and are a bit more vibrant in color and character. But never fear, the neutral tones of mother nature are never too far from my hook or needles.
