Melanie Berg

Melanie Berg

I’m Melanie, and I combine texture and color into wearable modern designs that are both playful and beautiful. I design to surprise — from matching cheeky stripes with elegant lace, to choosing unexpected color combinations. I love to collaborate with other creative types around the world, and my patterns have been published by yarn companies and knitting magazines large and small.

I live with my husband and three children in Bonn, Germany, where I find inspiration in the landscape, history, and culture.

In knitting, the possibilities are endless! Want to join me on the journey? You’ll find a Ravelry group for discussing my patterns, for test knits and KALs here.

Please direct support requests to support@mairlynd.de or post them to the pattern support thread.

If you run a LYS and would like to stock hardcopies of my patterns, you can find more info here.

Each month, a donation of 89 EUR of my pattern sales is going to Plan Deutschland and supports three young children as well as an aid fund. Additionally to that, I’m supporting Greenpeace with 300 EUR each year. Thank you for contributing!
