I learnt to crochet in 2014 and worked on a variety of granny square designs - one a day for the whole year, during which time I learnt lots.

With so many stitches to choose from, it was natural for me to turn to freeforming which allowed me to explore my own creativity. I continued to expand my knowledge, branching out into making wearables, learning new techniques such as mosaic, and also continuing with the granny squares, learning much from some of the amazing designers whose patterns are worked via the annual BAMCAL groups here on Ravelry.

It was inevitable that one day I would start designing. I started with some simple items, went on to create a range of novelty jam jar covers for a friend who has a jams/pickles/preserves business, and more recently I’ve begun to design granny squares / afghan blocks.
