Hi there! I’m Stella Lee.
For 17 years, yarn has been the language of my life. Since 2009, I have traveled across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and the Americas to source the best fibers and explore advanced spinning and dyeing techniques. And then weave these global inspirations into beautiful, unique novelty yarns, sharing them with creators worldwide.

   In 2022, life took a beautiful turn. I moved to New York City, 

met my love and decided to settle down. This is where Roookies Craft LLC was born. I designed the little bird as my logo because it represents me: a free spirit who thrives on traveling between different cultures and lands. My goal is to provide you with stunning yarn, the best color strategies, and design advice.
As Carl Jung famously said, “Life really does begin at forty. Up until then, you are just doing research.” I hope that after our own long period of research, each of us can be truer to our core and officially begin to live.
