I’m Madelyn, a knitwear designer focused on creating functional, beautifully fitting hand-knits tailored specifically to the feline body.

My design journey started with my calico Sphynx, Marcy. Living with a hairless cat means navigating temperature swings year-round, from cozy winter layers to lightweight protection from the summer sun. Because feline and canine physiques are so fundamentally different, standard dog patterns just don’t translate. My work is dedicated to filling that gap through thoughtful, feline-specific shaping, careful yarn selection (focusing on breathable, non-scratchy natural fibers), and balanced grading.

I use my Substack space as a slow-paced newsletter where I share the story behind each design (my inspiration and intention), pattern testing calls, and in-depth articles discussing the intricacies of designing for the feline body.
