About Me
Passionate about inclusivity, infatuated with texture and colour, and a fan of making life easy, I produce clearly written patterns in multiply accessible formats that produce beautiful results without too much fuss. You’ll find them all on my website along with my blog, which covers all sorts of usefulness including the yarn weight calculator, my Airtable base for stash and project logging, and a growing collection of how-to guides.

My Patterns
My patterns include written and charted instructions by default. Visual diagrams are often also included, with special techniques explained in more than one way to support knitters with different preferences.

The main version of the pattern is carefully tech edited and tested or preview knit by fabulous volunteers to ensure the finished pattern is clear, consistent, and completed to a high standard.

Size Inclusivity
I am a fat person. All of my designs are created with my body in mind. This means that my accessories consider the needs of fat bodies; for example, I don’t make small shawls. More specifically, it means that my garments are not just size inclusive, but actively created for fat bodies like mine.

Additionally, all of my garment test knits are at least 3 months long, usually longer, to allow everyone time to finish.

Accessibility
All diagrams and key photos are checked for colour blind accessibility, and all knitting patterns include a second format that’s designed specifically for low vision and screen reader knitters. This version may also be more suitable for dyslexic knitters. (Crochet patterns are also having these versions added, a process which should be complete before the end of 2022.)

I run a Pay It Forward scheme, which allows people to both contribute to and withdraw from a pattern fund. Withdrawals are anonymous and you won’t be asked to justify your need; the fund is there for anyone with financial accessibility needs.
