This easy Walking and Knitting Tour is a variation of our popular Spring knitting Retreat but that includes some hiking. It takes place during the Lambing and Birdwatching Season and will take us to the beautiful West of Iceland where the enchanting landscape, the first flowers of spring, the green moss, the utterly cute lambs and kids, the busy bird life, will inspire us as much as the knitting artifacts in the Textile Museum in Blönduós that we will have the chance to visit. Hélène will tell us about the Icelandic knitting traditions with a focus with a focus on the famous Icelandic lopi yoke sweater.. We will meet with local crafters, spinners, and dyers for an unforgettable insight into the Icelandic culture and knitting heritage. The hikes are rather short and relatively easy. Accommodation in comfortable guesthouses with an outdoor hot tub.
