An easy to knit top down short sleeved top for girls, the side increasing makes the sides hang about 2 inches lower than the front and back. Worked in DK weight yarn at a gauge of 20 sts to 4 inches with the easy drape of cotton or rayon yarn in mind.

Sizes- 18 months (2, 4, 6, 8, 10).
Finished measurements:
Chest- 19 (21, 23, 25, 27, 29) inches.
Length- 15 (16, 17, 19, 21, 23) inches.

Materials- dk or very light worsted weight yarn:
approx. 330 (396, 453, 501, 565, 632) yds.
24 inch circular needles size 6, 16 inch circular size 3; double point needles size 3 or sizes required to get the gauge.
Scrap yarn, 5 stitch markers (4 of one color, one of a different color), blunt darning needle.

Gauge- using the larger needles in circular stockinette st, 20 sts equal 4 inches
