An easy to make and wear cardigan for a knitter’s first venture into cables. Sure to be a favorite ‘go to’ sweater. Directions are included for a tie belt.

Sizes- x-small (small, medium, large, x-large, xx-large).
Finished measurements-
Chest- 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54) ins.
Length- 27 (27, 27½, 28, 28½, 29) ins.

Materials- medium worsted weight yarn: approx. 1,056 (1,236; 1,401; 1,552; 1,675; 1796) yds.
29 inch circular needles sizes 8 and 6; 16 inch circular needle size 8; double point needles size 6 or sizes required to get the gauge.
8 to 10 buttons, ¾ to 1 inch in size.
Scrap yarn, stitch markers: 4 of one color to mark increase points, and 12 of another color to mark cable sections.
Small safety pins, crochet hook size E or F.

Gauge- using the larger size needles in circular stockinette st, 18 sts equal 4 inches.
