Steaming freshly cooked rice mixed generously with furikake
shaped gently by hand—one round one triangular—
wrapped in crisp seaweed and taken in a single bite.
The aroma of the sea unfolds softly.
The Onigiri Sweater is inspired by that special moment.
This top-down design highlights a playful motif combined with refined structural details. Moving seamlessly between knitting in the round and flat knitting the construction creates dimensional texture and depth throughout the fabric.
The back features a curved raglan line while the front is designed with a straight raglan line offering both visual distinction and balanced wearability.
German Short Rows are incorporated to raise the back neckline ensuring a comfortable fit that prevents gaping at the neck.
An onigiri motif is placed at the lower right sleeve worked using the intarsia technique and finished with decorative stitch detailing for a subtle yet distinctive accent.
The neckline and all hems are finished with a folded hem technique for structure and durability.
