The “Wa Wa Wa“ scarf (wa means loop in Japanese) was inspired by a unique building exterior I came across during my first visit to Ginza, Tokyo, Japan, in a while.
Three different-sized interconnected loops are knit without cutting the yarn even once.
The finished size and length can be adjusted freely, and by varying the thickness and color of the yarn, the design can take a variety of faces, from modern and chic to even comical.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials
•Your favorite yarn, from Fingering to Worsted, about 110 - 145 yds 100 – 130 m.
•A pair of straight or circular needles that match the thickness of your yarn
•One removable stitch marker
•Tapestry needle

Sample Information
Yarn: Wool of the Andes Worsted / Knit Picks (1.8 oz 50 g, 110 yd 100 m, 100% Peruvian Highland Wool): Color Chocolate, Worsted, 1 skein

Needle: Size 7 4.5 mm 16” 40 cm circular needle

Finished Measurements
Approximately 2-3.5” 5-9 cm x 42” 106 cmattern repeats + Size S pattern)

Gauge (after blocking)
It is fine as long as you use needles of the appropriate size for the yarn thickness and knit without being too loose or too tight.
Garter stitch: Approximately 16 sts x 28 rows (4” x 4” 10 x 10 cm)

久しぶりに訪れた東京・銀座の街で目にしたユニークなビルの外装。それをヒントに生まれたのが「わ・わ・わ」スカーフです。3種類のサイズの「輪」を繋ぎなら、糸を一度も切ることなく棒針で編みます。完成サイズや長さは自由に調整でき、使用する毛糸の太さや色を変えることで、モダン、シック、あるいはコミカルなど、多彩な雰囲気を表現できるデザインです。―Hiroka Shinokawa

中細から並太(Fingering~Worsted )程度の太さのお好きな糸、大人用サイズの場合 100~130m程度
Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted (50g, 100m,ペルー産ハイランドウール 100%, 色: Chocolate (こげ茶), Worsted) 95m 使用

★でき上がりサイズ：
約 5~9cm 幅 x 106cm (2 模様+S サイズ)

★使用針と用意するもの：使用糸の太さに合わせた棒針または輪針 1 組 (サンプルは 8 号針4.5mm 使用)、クリップ式のマーカー1 つ、とじ針

★ゲージ： 毛糸の太さに合った号数の針で、緩すぎずきつ過ぎず編めていれば良い。
