Hexi mittens are fingerless mittens made using a hexagon motif. The thumb is the center of the motif and made in a round with the RS facing you throughout. Once the motif is the size of a hand, fold it in half, close the side, and continue on to creating the wrist.

These hexi mittens feature three layers of large petal-like ruffles. The stamens are made with popcorn stitch. The body is made with granny stitch and is closed using the join-as-you-go method. The petal ruffles are made after the main body is made.

Documents include 7 pages of written patterns along with some pictures, links to demonstration video and diagram.

Materials
5.0mm (US H/8) crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn, No. 4, medium
In cold seasons, make it from warm materials like wool, and in hot seasons, make it from soft cotton. The ruffles are made at the end after the main body is made, so you can use a unique yarn just for the ruffles, or adding ultra-fine mohair working as two strands makes it the ruffles will look even fuller.
