Leprechaun Britches Poem

St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone,
With corned beef and cabbage and mugs of green beer,
Friends come together sharing some cheer.

After the parties and laughter abound,
You enter the kitchen and there you have found,
A mountain of pots piled high and spread wide.

And remembering the music, fun and good wishes,
Remove the stitches from these Leprechaun britches,
With the two green dishcloths finish the dishes.

Santa Pants Poem

Santa is coming in his sleigh
His reindeer leading all the way
I can hear the jingle in the sky
I know he won’t pass me by

He is dressed in his suit of red
I’d better hurry and get in bed
Cookies and Milk are on a plate
Dishes in the sink will have to wait

I’ll wake with the bright morning sun
That’s when the dishes will get done
So on these red pants, remove the stitches
and have two dish cloths to wash the dishes

I hear the children coming down the stairs
Full of excitemennt at their Christmas bears
I squeeze my dishcloths and hang them up
to go see that Santa left me a new coffee cup
