Big Pocket Cardigan — Reverse Stockinette with Oversized Pocket
I have heard that people living in Paris buy roasted chestnuts from street vendors in parks, slip them into their pockets, and warm their hands while walking. This cardigan was designed to make you feel like one of those charming Parisians. There is only one pocket — so you have an excuse to hold hands with your partner.
This cardigan is worked in pieces from the bottom up, beginning with a provisional cast-on, then sewn together. The hem, front bands, and cuffs are worked from the provisional cast-on edge. The shoulders are shaped using short rows, then joined using a 3-needle bind-off. The pocket is worked separately and sewn to the body.
