Worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors. You can use ANY yarn weight, just adjust the hook size accordingly so that you end up with a dense fabric with no holes.

Furls Wander (affiliate link) yarn in Arbor, Agave, and Peninsula for the main color, and Alabaster for the contrast color.

YARDAGE:
Main color (tree base): 40 yds / 36 m
Contrast color (snow detail): 20 yds / 18 m

HOOK:
5.0 mm hook or appropriate hook size.
NOTIONS:
Scissors, darning needle, 1 locking stitch marker.
