Start by creating two saddle shoulders. From these saddles, pick up stitches and add stitches for the neckline to begin working the back. Shape the shoulders and upper back with German short rows, then continue knitting the back section to the specified length.

Next, pick up stitches from the saddles again to form the front pieces, shaping the neckline as you go using German short rows. Once both front and back sections are complete, join them and work the body in the round, finishing with a 1x1 rib hem.

For the sleeves, pick up stitches around the armholes and work them top-down, ending with a neat 1x1 rib cuff.

Finally, pick up stitches for the neckband, work a welt, and finish with a 1x1 rib.
