1:12 - Florence and Harold
Florence & Harold
Children of 1913
A complete outfit to fit a boy & girl of 31/8” - with dress, bonnet & pants for a girl, knickers, jumper and hat for a boy. Double breasted coat & gaiters for both
Adapted from one of the many Leach knitting pattern books published at the beginning of the century. The outfits were knitted for children of 3 to 4 years. In the original pattern book the boy’s suit was knitted in green and brown or blue and white. As the book says, “can any mother desire a smarter suit for her little son?”
MATERIALS: Size 20 knitting needles, 1ply cotton or equivalent in main colour and contrast, shirring elastic, 1 button each for dress and jumper, 6 buttons for coat and narrow silk ribbon, stitch holders.
