Sock in 4-color plaid pattern. Cuff, leg, and part of foot are knit flat. Leg is seamed, heel is worked, part of the sole is worked flat then sewn to the instep, and the rest of the foot and toe are worked in the round.

This pattern has both a traditional “chart” (image on graph paper of which color is worked where) and a chart-knit chart (tabular representation of the same information, saying how many stitches of each color to work before switching to the next color).
