  • This is the cover sweater for the booklet which is out of print but may be available on eBay or as a leftover at yarn shops.  The leaflet is the source of the more famous Ingeborg.  Information here is from the English language version of the directions.
  • The pattern has four sizes ranging from 37.375 inches (95cm) to 45.25 inches (115cm) finished chest measurement.  A schematic provides other useful measurements.
  • The body and sleeves are knit in the round to the underarm and then joined for a  raglan yoke and ribbed turtleneck also knit in the round.
  • Double pointed needles and 16 and 24-29 inch circular needles are required in all needle sizes, or as needed to get gauge. a crochet hook in US size B/1(2mm) is recommended for picking up stitches.
  • The pattern can be made in either Heilo or Tiur.  Two Heilo colorways are suggested.  You will need 10-13 balls of the primary color, 2 balls of a second color and 2-3 balls of the third.  One Tiur colorway is suggested. The directions suggest 8-11 balls of Tiur for the primary color and 1 ball each of the two secondary colors.  Knitters making a larger size may find this is not enough, especially for the third color, based on the relative yardage of the two yarns.
  • Stranded colorwork is knit from charts. There are several rows with three colors at a time.
