Flared Pinafore Dress & Sweater Knitting Pattern

A knitting pattern for you to knit a flared, scoop neck, button-up pinafore dress with a matching frill neck, short sleeve sweater.

Sizing starts from newborn and goes up to 9 months of age.
The set is knitted in either 4ply or DK yarn, depending on which size you wish to knit.

Both the hem of the pinafore dress and the sleeves of the sweater feature a bobble style edging, which is knitted first.
You then pick up the stitches for the main piece afterwards, meaning there is no stretching of the edging to make it fit and no sewing it on afterwards.

Although the skirt area of the dress is a big knit, it is also an easy knit and ideal to do when you are totally engrossed in your latest box set.

Knit, purl, slip stitches, pass slipped stitches over, yarn forward, increase stitches, make stitches, knit 2 stitches together, knit 4 stitches together and pick up stitches.
