This is an updated version of Pattern No. 13, rewritten with improved sizing, a redesigned hat and socks, and the addition of a matching cardigan. All rows are fully numbered.

Sizes:

15–16” (2.5–4lb prem)
16–17” (3–5lb prem)
18–19” (5–7lb newborn)
20–21” (8–10lb newborn)
22” (0–3 months)

Yarn: 4-ply and DK (depending on size)

Needles: 2.75mm–4mm (depending on size)

Skills required:

Knit, purl, yarn forward, slip stitches, k2tog, pass slipped stitches over.

Special abbreviations included and explained.

This pattern is suitable for reborn dolls and real babies and is commonly used for charity and hospital knitting.
