One pair 1.50 mm knitting needles, small piece of thin card for base of bag and soles of flat sandals, PLUS
To make the whole set of accessories – 1 x 50g ball of No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton in each of two colours - this will also be enough to make a set of beach clothes from pattern BD 139 - 1:6th scale Kirsty Beach Set
To make individual items:
Hat 1 (Barbie) – 25 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton in Main colour, plus 10 metres in Contrast colour or or 35 metres in one colour.
Hat 2 (Sindy) – 35 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton in Main colour, plus 15 metres in Contrast colour or 50 metres in one colour
Bag – small piece of thin card for base of bag; 30 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton each of two colours
Neckerchief – 2-3 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton)
Headscarf – 30 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton each of two colours
Sandals – small piece of thin card for soles; 3 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton for soles and 1 metre No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton for uppers.

NOTE: Items may be very slightly larger if worked using No 10 crochet cotton.

Hat 1 (Barbie) – Diameter – 7 cm/2¾-inches; Crown depth – 2 cm/¾-inches
Hat 2 (Sindy) – Diameter – 9.5 cm/3¾-inches; Crown depth – 2.5 cm/1-inch
Bag – Base – 5 cm/2-inches by 1.25cm/½-inch; Height – 5 cm/2-inches
Neckerchief – Length – 6.5 cm/2½-inches; Width – 0.6 cm/¼-inch
Headscarf – Width across top (including ties) – 20 cm/8-inches; Width across top (excluding ties) – 10 cm/4-inches; Top to point – 6 cm/2½-inches.
Sandals – 3 cm/1¼-inches by 1 cm/½-inch at widest part where upper joins sole

Gauge - Worked over stocking/stockinette stitch: 6 rows = 1 cm and 5 stitches = 1 cm
