These hats are designed to fit a 29 cm/11-½ inch tall female fashion doll including Barbie and Sindy dolls, a 32.5 cm/13-inch tall male doll including Ken and Action Man and a 25-27 cm/10 to11-inch tall teenage doll (such as Skipper or Harry Potter dolls)

PATTERN IS FOR HATS ONLY

Instructions are given for knitting the hats flat on two needles AND four or five needles in the round, charts are provided for the colour work in addition to the full written instructions.
NOTE: Some small adaptations to the patterns are required to fit a modern Sindy doll with a large head, see adaptations note given on Page 5 for full details.

Materials required
One pair 1.50 mm knitting needles (NOTE: These hats may also be worked in the round using a set of 4 or 5 double ended needles), 15 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton in green (if working two colour background allow 8 metres green and 8 metres pale blue), plus for all hats - 6 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton in white and 3 metres in black.

Finished measurements
Hat – brim to crown – 4 cm/1½-inches, brim circumference – 10 cm/4-inches
Large hat for Sindy doll – 4.5 cm/1¾-inches, brim circumference – 13 cm/5-inches

Gauge - Worked over stocking/stockinette stitch: 6 rows = 1 cm and 5 stitches = 1 cm
