To fit a 32.5 cm/13-inch tall doll (including broad Ken and Action Man) or a 25-27 cm/10 to 11-inch tall teenage doll (such as Skipper or Harry Potter dolls)

The colour work has both CHARTED and WRITTEN instructions.

Instructions are given for working the yoke flat on 2 needles AND in the round on 4-5 needles.

NOTE: This pattern can be used to make either size, however the yarns and needle sizes used are different, see materials required below.

Materials required:
Adult male doll - one pair of size 2.00 mm knitting needles (or set of 4 or 5 double ended knitting needles size 2.00 mm); 100 metres 3-ply/light fingering in Main colour (if working in two main colours allow 50-60 metres of each colour), plus 10-15 metres each of two contrasting colours, 3 stitch holders or spare double ended needles; stitch marker (optional) if working yoke on 4 or 5 needles.
Teenage doll - one pair of size 1.50 mm knitting needles (or set of 4 or 5 double ended knitting needles size 1.50 mm); 70-75 metres No 10 crochet cotton in Main colour (if working in two main colours allow 40-50 metres of each colour), plus 10-15 metres each of two contrasting colours, 3 stitch holders or spare double ended needles; stitch marker (optional) if working yoke on 4 or 5 needles.

Finished size of sweater:
Adult male doll
Neck to hem –
13 cm/5-inches; Chest – 7.5 cm/3-inches across; sleeve seam - 7.5 cm/3-inches
Teenage doll
Neck to hem –
10 cm/4-inches; Chest – 6.5 cm/2½-inches across; sleeve seam - 6.5 cm/2½-inches

Gauge - worked over stocking/stockinette stitch:
Adult male doll – 5 rows and 4 stitches = 1 cm
Teenage doll – 6 rows and 5 stitches = 1 cm.
