I published a pattern for chunky cardigans for Barbie last year so decided to amend the pattern to fit my new doll, an 18” Designafriend doll. The set includes a cardigan, leggings and a vest top and should fit most dolls of this type. However, as all dolls are different its best to check for fit as you go. Note that the cardigan is a roomy fit. All pieces are made using straight needles.

The actual measurements of the pieces are:
Cardigan: Chest 15”/38cm, length from shoulder to hem 6.5”/17cm, sleeve seam 3.75”/9cm
Vest top: chest 10”/26cm, length from shoulder to hem 4”/10cm
Leggings: waist 9”/ 23cm, length from hem to waist 7”/18cm

The cardigan and pants are made in dk, and the vest in 4ply yarn
You will need:
Basic Cardigan with pockets: 60g dk
Cardigan with coloured rib: 60g dk,10g contrast A and 5g contrast B
Multi coloured cardigan: approx 20g of each colour
Leggings: 25g dk
3.25mm and 4mm straight needles
Vest top: 20g 4ply
3mm and 3.25mm straight needles

The cardigan pattern is for a basic cardigan with pockets. You can play around with colour by adding contrast ribs or knitting each piece in a different colour with or without pockets.
