Knit an elegant pair of fingerless gloves, adapted from the 1884 “Self-Instructor in Silk Knitting, Crocheting and Embroidery”. These long gloves (elbow length) would have completed the morning costume of a properly attired Victorian lady. The originals were knit using silk.

Our updated version uses a variegated sock yarn for a modern look. The gloves feature easy diagonal lace bands and a very simple thumb gusset.
