2 Dolphin Hats was created for my daughter who has a real love for dolphins & the colour purple. 2 Dolphin Hats comes with 2 patterns, the difference being the ribbed brim length. One is a short ribbed hat, the other a long folded ribbed hat.

The dolphin design is based on the little New Zealand Hector dolphin which is the smallest and rarest dolphin in the world. We had the priviledge of swimming with these dolphins a couple of years ago in Akaroa. When I say swim, we floated in the sea while they zoomed past!

Size:
One size, to fit an older child/small adults head of 55 - 57cm/22 inches circumference.

Yarn:
2 colours of 8 ply/DK/light, 50gm balls of merino wool. I often use Debbie Bliss Rialto DK, Broadway Merino DK or Bellisimo DK super fine merino wool. Length of yarn is usually between 103 - 125 metres/112 - 137 yards per ball.

3.25mm/US 3 DPNs,
OR 3.25mm/US 3 circular needle for casting on & knitting rib.
4mm/US 6 circular needle for hat body.
