Quick and easy to make, Epstein’s plush scarf begins with a long strip knit in a traveling cable and rib pattern in Baby Alpaca Chunky from Cascade Yarns. The center nine stitches are bound off at regular intervals, then cast on again the following row. When completed, the piece is folded in half; the short ends are then woven through the slits, alternating from back to front. The cast-on and bound-off edges are sewn together where they meet to form the other end.
