This pattern is our version of the official Team USA hat for the closing ceremonies of the 2018 Olympic Games. The pattern features stranded colorwork in the main body of the hat and an option to add duplicate-stitched letters if desired. We’ll be knitting hats while we cheer on Team USA in PyeongChang!

Supplies:
Yarn: WYS BFL Aran (91yds/50g) in 3 colors
-Duplicate-stitch lettered version: MC (Blueberry) x2, C1 (Snowdrop) x1, C2 (Cherry) x1
-Non-lettered version: MC (Blueberry) x1, C1 (Snowdrop) x1, C2 (Cherry) x1

Needles:
US #7 and #9 16” circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
US #9 double-pointed needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Stitch markers
Row counter or other tracking device (highlighter tape, magnet board, etc.)

Gauge: 18 sts = 4” in stockinette stitch on larger needles
