A number of knitters have been having problems with the yoke decreases, and the link to the errata doesn’t seem to work. On checking the numbers, I didn’t find any errors in the pattern.
Here’s how the decreases break down:
You start out with 155 (171, 187) sts when you have the body and sleeve sts all on the needle to begin the yoke.
Dec row 1 decreases 8 sts, so you have 147 (163, 179) sts remaining.
That Dec row is repeated every RS row 4 (6, 8) more times, leaving you with 115 sts for all sizes.
Dec row 2 decreases 6 sts, so you have 109 sts left.
Dec row 3 repeats the first decrease row, removing 8 sts, so you have 101 sts.
Then you repeat Dec row 2, work a WS row, repeat Dec row 3, then work another WS row (4 rows) once more, decreasing a further 14 sts, so you should have 87 sts remaining.
Dec row 4 removes 2 sts, leaving you with 85 sts.
This dec row is repeated every RS row 4 more times, and at the same time you’re binding off 24 sts at each neck edge (7+5+4+3+2+2+1), leaving you with 29 sts when all the shaping is complete.
